- Audit inputs — the business name, category, location, and website you enter to run an audit.
- Contact details — your email address, if you provide it to receive a report, monitoring alerts, or product updates.
- Payment information — if you purchase a paid report, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; we receive limited transaction details (such as a reference and confirmation) from Stripe.
- Usage data — standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, collected through privacy-respecting analytics to operate and improve the Service.
How we use your information
- To run your audit and generate your results.
- To deliver paid reports and provide 90-day monitoring where purchased.
- To send transactional emails (e.g. your report, receipts) and, where you opt in, product emails.
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service, under appropriate confidentiality terms, including:
- Stripe — payment processing for paid reports.
- Hosting, email, and analytics providers — to deliver, host, and measure the Service.
- AI / search providers — to run the live grounded queries that power your audit, using the inputs you supply.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Email and unsubscribe
We send transactional emails related to audits and purchases, and product emails where you have opted in. In line with the CAN-SPAM Act, every marketing email lets you opt out. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email and asking to be removed, or by emailing hello@recommd.com. We honor opt-out requests promptly.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your data by emailing us.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting hello@recommd.com. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13.
